Action Plans
The nature of the Czech Republic is amazing with its wealth of plants, animals and fungi. Unfortunately, population of some of them are gradually declining, for example, due to the decreasing number and area of sites suitable for their life, inappropriate agricultural use of the landscape or climate change. In order to help the most endangered species of our nature, the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic prepares and implements species action plans and regional species action plans. For species that cause harm to humans through their natural behavior, species management plans are prepared and implemented. The ten-year PROSPECTIVE LIFE project, which aims to increase the biodiversity of Czech nature and landscape helps to develop these active species conservation tools. Wild species are a very important part of our natural heritage and they need to be preserved, protected and cared for.
